Planning Department Hearings

Two public hearings May 4th.

One regarding re-zoning, the other regarding floodplain development & noise ordinance exemption.

The floodplain & noise ordinance exemption hearing is very important (this is why there are less sound walls along the interstate) . City of Omaha Council Meeting- New Liquor License in Deer Park Neighborhood

Please see the notice sent regarding a public meeting about a new liquor license for El Castillo Lounge which will be located at 1802 Vinton St. The meeting will be held on April 26th beginning at 2pm in conjunction with the regular City Council meeting. All comments need to be directed to the city clerk or our council member, Vinny Palermo. Thank you.

Someone deserves a HUGE THANK YOU!

We would love to formally recognize whoever cleaned Deer Hollow Park this weekend.  It looks fantastic!  Look at all the trash collected out of the trees!!  The Neighborhood Association wasn't part of this so we can't take the credit, but we really want to make sure the people who did do this wonderful act of service do get recognized!  We really appreciate you!

This helps us out tremendously & allows us to do a quicker clean up on May 21st if we have enough volunteers... and if it's a quick clean up, we can go to other areas of our neighborhood that need attention!

THANK YOU AGAIN SO VERY MUCH!🧡

Highway 75/24th St Interchange Projects

Here's some of the information we gathered at the meeting tonight. Although some of these projects look like they may be a few years down the road, comments and input from the neighborhood help shape decisions by planners. Please fill out the comment sheet at the bottom and voice your concerns. Now is the time for our voices to be heard, not when they're doing the final public meetings after engineering of the project has taken place.

We love our vibrant community, desire access to other parts of the city with ease, care about EMS and their ability to respond to incidents on the interstate in a timely manner, and want people to come & patronize our great businesses.
